And Cali .  Not actually an action shot .  She stood there quite  some time assessing the  squirrel situation, letting all the cold air in .  

And no picture thankfully, but just keeping the memory : this morning Cali enthusiastically came to greet me on  the toilet, she attacked with slobbery kisses nearly knocking me off the toilet, then stole my toilet paper as part of a fun mew game .

National Dog Day

Awh, national dog day is all over facebook.
Lilly just left us to chase bunnies across the rainbow bridge so I didn't comment.

I did however go to the grocery store, and as i walked past a end cap of her exact dog food, thought all these thoughts in the span of a second. . .

• I should get dog food.
• I should check if we need dog food.
• Why don't I know if we need dog food?
• I feed her everyday.
• Whose been feeding the dog if not me?
• Well we don't have to feed the dog any more....

 Because Lilly is gone. :/

(I guess I've stopped thinking about it constantly, just a couple times a day now.)

8:00 - picked up Roberta for her tour of Peakview Assisted Living, and her new apartment to take measurements and pictures!
 9-11 tour
Filled out the paper work at our house
Lunch at Saddlerock Golf course with Caitlin
2 - Massages for 2 at Massage Envy
Errands on the way home
dropped off paperwork to Nana's doctor
back across town to party in the park.

Marcie dropped of some flowers (for Lilly), and ah, it's down time.


It's been a day.  A good day.  Mom's excited to move.  I'm excited for her to move.

Short but sweet visit.  Just like it was all yesterday !!!

Dear Lord, please give me the strength!

Goodbye little do-hickey-mabobs! 

It's not that we don't love you,  we do!  You each hold special, ridiculously sentimental memories for me. 

     George, obviously always a favorite because you came with all your books (that are still around here somewhere) -girls loved loved loved CG.

     Starfish Santa, you were a favorite of grandma and grandpa Gillis's, not sure where you came from (Annie ? 1998). I'm tempted to stop and call to see if she wants it back ?  

     Those little backpacks!  They earned selling girl scout cookies - and would be perfect for school if they might want them in the future (but their rooms are overflowing with "sentimentality". As well, can't put it up there ) . . . 

      And finally cup stacking !! Is it still hot ?  It was all about speed stacking in 2nd grade and we had the timer mat and everything.  I think the dog eventually at the cups.

      Sigh. Where was I ?  

So - it's not that I don't love you, it's just that you're STUFF. .  . I can do this !  And I will NOT have to do this over even little bit of memorabilia, will I?  

Well that was quick !! What happened !

Last day at Beaver Creek.  Sigh.  Bye bye mountains.

More summer in the mountains pics

Ye know what I really like about the mountains ?  variety.  One restaurant is proudly playing the exact same music I assume they have been playing since at least 1985 ( when I lived in Keystone ).  Another had Nirvanas heart shaped box, followed by Barbie Girl (come on Barbie, let's go party ) and other songs from this century.  Eclectic, you could say.  

Now we are having breakfast in a place that clearly doubles as a bar in the evening.  (Breakfast burrito was great !)

Everyone encourages each other on the way up , the view is worth it !  

We paced ourselves.  The girls were troopers , particularly considering their teenagerie-ness.

And we were having such a good time, I didn't even stop to take a picture.  (It was weird, but I did it - because my phone was buried in the basket.  It felt authentic.).

Well, I'm FINALLY getting excited about going up to the mountains for a week! Oddly enough, I'm making sure all the electronics/technology are/is fully functional.  I'm hoping to laze around quite a bit.  Gotta pack, but, able to log onto the blog -check!
