Whiny little snowflake, here me shout !

Obama speech

I know I’ve been posting too much political stuff lately, and I know I need a new hobby as I am suffering from constant hand wringing “what is this world coming to” , feel
Like Im giving myself an ulcer.

But, so, I was all worked up over the anti-robinhood robbing the country and giving it all to the upper rich tax plan.... and then I watched this President Obama speech. (That’s a link up there, it should work.)  It gave me hope, but makes me so sad to think  people have turned their backs on growth, hope, positivity.  I get that you can’t see it because he’s a Democrat.... sigh.  But now, with this backlash, trashing of all the progress we made... and gutting the country’s structure, weakening it in so many ways to shovel money to the top 1% -
I am SICK . So sick I can’t talk about it,
I have a lot more to say, but the anger is boiling over just getting started.
Most people seem to have lost all their common sense.  Politicians with ethics are being ridiculed for trying to stand up against this lunacy.  And again, how did this EVER happen to our country?

🐣 Easter weekend 2017

The Vista Peak Prep Community Garden is really taking shape!  Met some new interested parents who helped with the seedlings, and plot planning, as well as the usual teachers and the DUG members. I am so excited about this I can hardly stand it.  Don't let me forget - "Garden of Youth" , program for ESS students next year.  DPS and DUG are doing it now, and we need to join in once we are up and running with the big dogs.

Lent came to an end and my commitments are complete.  I'm happy to say that this year I did them, I remember what they are, and I'm going to continue doing them because they feel good, and make me a better person.  (Staying off facebook, - excessively, that is - spending time connecting with friends and family, praying or meditating, and donating STUFF!)

Cali was sad.  Nobody got her a chocolate bunny, and she had to stay home during Easter brunch.  Whoa is Cali!

I hope to remember this feeling always.  I remember Cousin Kate and Auntie Fran describing the same side splitting, tears rolling down your face, can't seem to stop, mother/duaghter laughter.  We were discussing what the look on Kevin's face might be as the 3 of us came crashing through the ceiling in the bath tub.  We were having a group foot soak.

Abigail finished her door!  Zentangles on the inside, Cherry blossoms on the outside. She want's another try on the outside, but dad put it up for now.  Maybe this summer she can have another blank canvas.

Easter Brunch with Roberta/Nana at the PAL as we call it.  It sure is nice that she is so close, and that they have good enough food to want to go there for a meal!  It was a beautiful spring day.

Spring break 2017 - updated

Well, update - spring break is over, and I'm enjoying power session off at VPP.  This is the last time for awhile because of the budget cuts at APS, so I am forced to enjoy it as fully as possubleπŸ€—. I'm going to dig out my stuff for Block #1of the "Women and the Bible" quilt, and get started!  Maybe even make a kennel cover for Cali while I'm in the zone.  Rockies opening day on Friday? Hmmm .  It has been a glorious start to spring this year.

Breakfasts lunches and even a movie with Nana
Sometimes with the girls

The seedlings had to come home for break too.

Watching Fantastic Beasts with the fantastic beasts.

NYC

Day 1 - Bus to the Theatre District, around the corner from the Late Show in the Ameritania.  Test out those walking shoes and head to Time Square.  Next, Dizzy's Jazz club and the Stanley Cowell Quartet.  Back to Time square, and sleep!

Day 2-  Starbucks across the street! Double-decker bus tour, Lunch on the Peir and onto the Harbor tour, Statue of Liberty,  dumped out for shopping, ACK!  back to the hotel to get ready for: the Metropolitan Opera, Beethoven's Fidelio! Subways, room checks, me my feet hurt, sleep,

Day 3 - Go , start Starbucks again, Radio City Music Hall, lunch at the Stardust diner, subway to the 9/11 Memorial (not enough time!), boom! back to time square, shopping, dinner, the Phantom of the Opera at the Majestic Theater on Broadway, quick trip to the top of the Rock, 10 miles at least walking today and I'm told it was the least of the 3 - I slept like a rock.

Day 4 - Bring it on home.  Check out, off to MOMA, over the river and through Central Park, (but darn it, Balto was just a pathway away, but we were in express mode - no stops) The last group check, and home, blessed home!  So happy to be home.  "I can't wait to stop having to adult."

The official first photo, and selfie bomb by Tavin!
