I reminded Mom a few weeks ago that she might just be feeling down because of the time of year. This is when dad died. How long ago now? (always seems like the answer should be 2 years or so . . .) 6. 6 years now. And then good old Facebook pops up with their "remember when" picture. He was OK with going on to his next adventure, but he also wanted to get up out of that bed and come home for more time with us. Miss you every day Dad! I need to remind myself today - "Happy for the time we got to have you here", "Happy for the time we got to have you here"- like a mantra. Saturday, May 14, 2016
May 14, 2016 - Why so melancholy?
I reminded Mom a few weeks ago that she might just be feeling down because of the time of year. This is when dad died. How long ago now? (always seems like the answer should be 2 years or so . . .) 6. 6 years now. And then good old Facebook pops up with their "remember when" picture.
